where引导的定语从句

一，where是什么

通常我们将where用作副词、连词、名词、代词等，一般情况下我们可以将其翻译为哪里、地方等意思。例句有：

1.Where's the opportunity for emerson?

艾默生电气的机会在哪里?

2.Where is my Visual Merchandising Index?

我的视觉营销参数在哪里?

3.Where does senator obama stand?

奥巴马的立场在那里?

4.Where do you find time?

从哪儿找到时间呢?

5.Where does you blender go?

你的搅拌机放哪了?

二，where的用法

当Where作为引导状语从句的时候，Where在其之前是不会表示地点的先行词的，在这个时候Where是从属连词，意思就是Where引导的从句修饰主句的谓语动词。

.例句有：

The famous scientist grew up where he was born and in 1930 he came to Shanghai.

句中the famous scientist grew up 这一部分是该句的主要句子，Where到句子最后的意思就是地点状语从句，而where前并没有表示它的地点的先行词.

She found her passport where she lost it .

passport是主句 found 后面的宾语，这个并不是这句从句中lost的地点表示，因此 where 引导的就是指地点状语从句，从属连词where引导的从句修饰主句的谓语动词 found 。

三，where的名词性从句

where引导的名词性从句，它的意思就很接近the place where ,可译为：某某的地方,where也是疑问副词。例句如：

This is where Luxun once lived. (where 引导表语从句)

I don't know where Luxun once lived .(where 引导宾语从句)

She was free to go to where she liked and do what she liked . (where 引导宾语从句)

We haven't yet settled the question where we are going to spend our summer vacation. (where引导同位语从句)
